24 September 2016 saw NUSSO’s annual outreach concert, which, like the previous year, was held in Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage. The outreach concert’s repertoire, which comprised exciting contemporary film pieces such as Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and Harry Potter, was sure to attract the eyes of many ongoers and fellow music enthusiasts, as observed by the sheer number of audiences below!

Indeed, aided by the good weather and the familiar tunes, concert day saw a very great turnout of about 3000 people, as reported by Singapore Botanic Gardens!
Prior to the actual event, NUSSO was very honoured to be sharing previews of their rehearsals to Mediacorp’s TV Channel, Okto, whose “Asia Alive” show were coincidentally featuring Singapore Botanic Gardens in one of their upcoming episodes. Our resident conductor, Maestro Lim Soon Lee, also had an interview with the television crew for the show! You can now view the episode here: http://video.toggle.sg/en/series/asia-alive/ep4/462487
This year’s concert also marked NUSSO’s first collaboration with the NUS Drone Club, who had helped to capture breathtaking aerial videos and pictures of the orchestra during its performance.
