On the 4th July 2013, NUSSO, embarked on our Vienna trip, covering the cities of Prague, Vienna, Salzburg and Munich. The main highlight of the tour, the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival 2013, was held in Vienna on 7th July’13. The festival gave us once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to perform in some of the best halls in the world, which included Musikverein, and MuTH – Concert Hall of the Vienna Boys’ Choir. NUSSO also gave a memorable outdoor performance at Bad Tatzmannsdorf, where the audience enjoyed the music so much, they asked for multiple encores. The festival also gave us learning opportunities to have masterclasses with festival judges at University of Music Vienna, and chances to interact with like-minded musicians from all over the world. NUSSO also clinched the 1st runner-up in the competition, bringing pride not only to NUS, but also to Singapore. The tour also brought us to cities where famous musicians and composers once lived, and allowed our members to fully bask in the culture of the different cities before returning back to Singapore.
